Why develop professionally?

I've talked with quite a few people who feel they have the credentials they need, and think their resume should speak for itself.

It doesn't...

Why? Because although they may be very well credentialed, there are thousands of other people just as well qualified (at least on paper)!

To get a fantastic job after college you need something MORE.

And I've talked with others who work hard at their current jobs, but don't get the promotions or transfers they so much deserve. Why? Because a lot of other people are also working hard and doing a good job.

To move up or change roles they really need something MORE.

We all need to develop as professionals.

This is what will set you apart from your peers. This will set you up for your dream job right out of college, or that long-awaited promotion, or an exciting lateral move to another department.
